We’re thrilled to announce that we have raised $10M from new investors including Malibu Point Capital, Galaxy Digital, Osage Venture Partners, Dapper Labs, SXSW Innovation Fund, and Gaingels, who joined existing investors including Corazon Capital, TQ Ventures, and Upfront Ventures which incubated the company.
Our goal when we launched Tellie was to give independent creators the tools to express yourselves, build relationships, and make a living from your creativity. For too long, social media platforms have locked you inside walled gardens, controlling your creativity and your livelihood.
The more we spoke to you and built for you, the more it became clear that you needed us to build the bridge for you and your fans from web2 to web3. You need to aggregate the platforms you live and work on today while transitioning you to a world where you directly own your content, audience, and livelihood. You need to be able to provide creative value and experiences to fans who support you that don’t require you to get a PhD in computer science or become an always-on community manager.
Over the last several months, our early creator community has inspired us by using the platform to express your creativity and tell your stories in ways we could never have dreamed up. We are enormously grateful to you for working alongside us to shape the product.
But we also know there's a lot more work to do to give you the tools you need to take control over your creative destiny. This round of capital allows us to continue to be steady partners to you during these turbulent times, and we’re excited to continue on this journey together.
We’re hiring across the company. If this work speaks to you and you're a kind, empathetic, self-starter who believes in the future of creative work, please apply here to join us.
Finally, thank you to the Tellie team for your incredible work getting us here. Your creativity and grit inspire me daily, and I’m thrilled to have the chance to continue building with you.
